GENLED Brands™ pleased to announce several key appointments

HOUSTON, TX (June 7, 2021) – GENLED Brands™, a designer and manufacturer of LED lighting solutions, is pleased to announce that Scott H. Vontobel has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. Vontobel has been promoted from his role as President of GENLED Brands™, a post he held for the last year while supervising the company’s global restructuring. He served in various escalating lead management and global sales roles including President, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Operations at Acolyte since 2014. After Acolyte joined the GENLED Brands™ umbrella, Vontobel was named Director of Global Sales, leading sales efforts for both brands around the world. He previously worked with Lex Products, TMB and Global Design Solutions on projects ranging from Cirque du Soleil to the Super Bowl.

Min Wu has been named Vice President of Operations. Wu has more than 20 years’ experience in global supply chain. She joins GENLED Brands™ from Signify (formerly Philips Lighting), where she was Senior Manager of Global Supply Planning and Outsourced Operation from 2017 through 2020. She was the Global Supply Chain Manager for Maurice Sporting Goods from 2009 to 2016, and previously handled exporting in China for 7 years. Wu earned her MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Brandon Silwester has been named Vice President of Engineering. Silwester was promoted from his previous role as Vice President of Product Development. He joined Acolyte in 2011 and became part of the GENLED Brands™ team in 2018. Silwester oversees global product development for both the Acolyte and AgiLight brands, working with staff on four continents to facilitate design, product management, testing, quality control and process improvements. His experience managing teams of engineers and bringing exciting new products to market has helped GENLED Brands™ remain at the forefront of the linear LED lighting and LED signage industries.

Hendue Vidal has been named VP of Sales – Acolyte North America. Vidal is in his ninth year with the company. He joined Acolyte in 2013 as Operations Manager before his promotion to Customer Service Manager in 2015. He then served as Technical Sales Manager from 2017 as Acolyte joined GENLED Brands™.
