Acolyte upgrades Flexible BackLyte: More size, more cuts, more flex!

Acolyte has made major improvements to its Flexible BackLyte products. 

Flexible BackLyte now features better efficacy and lumen output for performance, a much tighter bending radius for flexibility, and smaller trimmable sections. It’s also twice the size! 

Engineered to backlight translucent objects such as onyx, stone and resin panels, even in curved applications, 24V Flexible BackLyte offers amazing light consistency and clarity. Each sheet has been upsized to a nominal 1 x 2 ft (304.8 x 609.6 mm) rectangular panel. And we’ve made the cuts where they’re most important. Flexible BackLyte now boasts incredibly small trimmable sections – single unit cutting that contains individual LEDs – to let you create precise custom shapes. 

Extra flex! 

You can bend, cut and connect Flexible BackLyte to match the size and shape of any project. We’ve added extra flex! The minimum bending radius is now just 1.91 in. (48.5 mm) in either direction. Flexible BackLyte is rated IP20 for indoor applications. Choose from Static White, Variable White or color changing RGBW.

Static White  

Flexible BackLyte is available in six CCTs (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K, 6000K) and two wattages:  

• 11 W/sheet (5.5 W/sq ft, 59.2 W/sq m) or 825 lm/sq ft (8880.5 lm/sq m). 

• 22 W/sheet (11 W/sq ft, 118.4 W/sq m) or 1650 lm/sq ft (17761 lm/sq m). 

That’s 150 lm/W at 4000K. Each Static White sheet offers 288 (12×24) single unit cutting sections in 1 in. (25.4 mm) squares or 0.71 in. (18 mm) diamonds. 

Variable White 

Tune your Flexible BackLyte for warmth (2700K-6500K) and brightness at 18.6 W/sheet (9.3 W/sq ft, 100.11 W/sq m). Variable White Flexible BackLyte generates up to 1346.5 lm/sq ft (14493.5 lm/sq m). That’s 145 lm/W (all on). Each Variable White sheet offers 242 (11×22) single unit cutting sections that can be divided into 1.09 in. (27.7 mm) squares or even smaller 0.77 in. (19.6 mm) diamonds. 

RGBW 

Backlight your project with any color under the sun at 48 W/sheet (24 W/sq ft, 258.34 W/sq m). RGBW Flexible BackLyte generates up to 1,281.5 lm/sq ft (13,794 lm/sq m). That’s 53 lm/W (all on). Each color changing RGBW sheet offers 200 single unit cutting sections in 1.2 in. (30.5 mm) squares.
