Acolyte, GENLED Brands complete major technology upgrades at European HQ
Acolyte has added more technology at GENLED Brands’ European headquarters in Amsterdam.
The manufacturing and distribution center in Weesp, Amsterdam, now boasts a new polyurethane encapsulation machine for creating the highest-rated waterproofing available in the market, as well as a silicone end cap machine and new photometric testing equipment. Staff training is complete, and production is underway!

We look forward to filling the rest of our calendar and showcasing our next-generation technology in the experience center for guests from around the world.

We’ve developed new manufacturing facilities with new equipment, more inventory space and an ever-growing staff,” Vontobel said. “Our made-in-Europe products will support Acolyte stock levels around the globe – and help alleviate some of the ongoing tariff situations.”
IP69 rated fixtures
The new polyurethane machine has dramatically improved Acolyte’s waterproofing capabilities. We can now use special polyurethane resins to create an impressive range of IP69-rated fixtures, from LED neon to ingrade-on-demand. We will stock several channel options with raceways and our specially formulated LEDs so our IP69 products create stunning outcomes identical to our current IP20 fixtures, all while ensuring minimal lead times for our customers.
The new silicone LED neon encapsulation machine provides amazing waterproofing technology as well. Acolyte generates precision custom LED neon molds, cuts and encapsulation with speedy results.
And we offer same-day testing for all our freshly manufactured LED products with a shiny new light measurement system. A two-axis goniometer measures the full 3D distribution field of Acolyte’s custom lighting solutions, providing quick, comprehensive reports that include IES files. This testing machine produces integrating sphere testing and detailed TM-30-15 color fidelity results using 99 color evaluation samples.
