French lighting website highlights Acolyte’s role in ‘The Living Light’ display

The French lighting website Light ZOOM Lumière published an ode to The Living Light exhibition at Light + Building 2026. Curated by Lichtvision Design, the installation was commissioned by show host Messe Frankfurt and sponsored in part by Acolyte. The exhibit was programmed by the Studio Barthelmes team. It featured Acolyte products in several sections.

“The Living Light clearly demonstrates how light can become a true tool for well-being, learning, work, and interaction. This installation by Lichtvision Design shows that lighting conceived as a living medium can tangibly enhance the way spaces are used, experienced emotionally, and understood,” wrote Light ZOOM Lumière.

The walk-through experience took visitors through four themes:  the home, education, the workplace and communication.

“The installation is based on a clear design philosophy: light is a living factor in design. It adapts, responds, and interacts. It shapes the atmosphere just as much as it ensures visibility,” Carla Wilkins, principal associate and global creative director of Lichtvision Design, told Light ZOOM Lumière. “Rather than presenting luminaires or technologies in isolation, the installation explores the behavior of light—how it guides, softens, sharpens, soothes, activates, and connects.”

Acolyte’s AS20G fixtures with 6.0 Static White Series 2 RibbonLyte provided subtle wall grazing in the Education section. Our programmable Pixel RibbonLyte in AS13 channel delivered brilliant rows of color changing patterned light for the Workplace. And the interactive Communication section defined corners and angles with Acolyte’s Series 2 RibbonLyte, controlled through a ceiling-mounted sensor grid that triggered activation to energize the lit environment.
