Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

The Bernhard Link Theatrical agency and lighting designer Shawn Kaufman enlisted Acolyte to help highlight a veteran of legendary status. The USS Intrepid is now a massive floating museum — and a testament to American military innovation. Once part of a large fleet of WWII aircraft carriers, the ship is permanently docked on Manhattan’s Lower West Side. Its onboard collection includes a fleet of historic military fighters atop its deck and an amazing display of 20th Century Naval and Air Force artifacts throughout the lower quarters. Chosen for their even light and broad coverage, our High Power Exterior Linear fixtures call attention to the tiers of the control tower, washing the façade in vivid, patriotic tones.
