The controls feature SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) technology, a synchronized communication protocol used to rapidly transmit information from control systems to “peripherals” -- related products such as LED fixtures. Like DMX systems, SPI uses “universes” made up of 512 channels with specific addresses -- except SPI moves data at 60 frames per second. This allows simple programming and precise execution in diverse architectural lighting applications that range from exterior nodes to wall washers and grazers, custom Pixel RibbonLyte channel fixtures and interior backlighting.
